Fatigue Relieving Effect of Phosphatidylserine

Time:2025-02-21

Phosphatidylserine is a phospholipid compound found in all cell membranes and has the following unique effects in combating fatigue:

.Relief of Mental Fatigue

1. Enhancing memory and cognitive ability:

After intense study or work, the brain can easily become fatigued, leading to decreased memory and poor concentration. Phosphatidylserine can improve the fluidity and permeability of neuronal cell membranes, influencing neurotransmitter release and signal transmission. This enhances communication between brain cells, helping to improve memory and cognitive functions while relieving memory and cognitive issues caused by mental fatigue.

2. Reducing mental stress:

Modern lifes pressures can place the brain in a state of constant tension, which, when accumulated over time, leads to fatigue. Phosphatidylserine helps regulate the secretion of stress-related neurotransmitters, such as cortisol. It can minimize the negative impact of stress on the brain, allowing it to function better under pressure and reducing mental fatigue.

3. Improving brain blood circulation:

Adequate blood supply is essential for normal brain function. Mental fatigue is often accompanied by poor blood circulation. Phosphatidylserine helps promote vasodilation in the brain, increasing blood flow and providing brain cells with more oxygen and nutrients while accelerating the removal of metabolic waste. This improves the brains metabolic environment and helps alleviate mental fatigue.

.Relief of Physical Fatigue

1. Promoting muscle recovery:

After intense exercise or physical labor, muscles can experience fatigue due to lactic acid buildup and energy depletion. Phosphatidylserine can regulate intracellular calcium ion concentrations, influencing muscle cell contraction and relaxation. This promotes muscle relaxation and recovery, reducing soreness and the feeling of fatigue.

2. Enhancing energy metabolism:

One major cause of physical fatigue is insufficient energy supply or metabolic imbalance. Phosphatidylserine participates in the bodys energy metabolism by activating energy-related enzymes, such as ATPase. This improves the efficiency of energy utilization in cells, promotes the synthesis of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), and provides the body with more energy, thereby enhancing endurance and anti-fatigue capacity.

3. Regulating the endocrine system:

The endocrine system plays a vital role in maintaining physiological balance and responding to fatigue. Phosphatidylserine can regulate the secretion of hormones such as adrenal corticosteroids, helping the body better adjust under fatigue and maintain the normal function of various systems, thereby relieving physical fatigue.

.Clinical Research Evidence

Numerous clinical studies have confirmed the anti-fatigue effects of phosphatidylserine. For example, studies conducted on individuals under prolonged high-intensity work conditions found that after daily supplementation for a certain period, participants showed significant improvements in subjective fatigue levels, attention, and memory compared to control groups.

Additionally, research on athletes has shown that phosphatidylserine supplementation can enhance athletic endurance, reduce post-exercise recovery time, and improve overall performance.
